The
South African Media
If
you want to be successful you must be careful who and hat you believe.
Our South African media loves to publish unfounded facts about certain
companies. You must keep in mind that these articles are written
by aspired journalists who would do everything to get somebody to
read their articles.
Good
news does not sel news papers, so they have to dream out something
negative to write about in order to get your attention.
Over
the years I have seen so many times where they publish unfounded
lies about some companies. The bad thing is that they publish a
one sided view to their 2 million readers. The poor company do not
have the opportunity to protect itself even against one of those
readers.
Unfortunately
95% of the readers believe the lies that gets published in the newspapers.
You see, sensation sells newspapers, not true facts. The newspapers
are protected by the so called "freedom of speech". It
seems as if Freedom of speech gives them the licence to publish
lies. I can quickly think of two examples where the rapport published
untrue articles about companies. In both cases the companies are
still doing business after they have been accused by the Rapport
that they were involved in unlawful practices. The one is Wealth
4 U.who is a sea diamond mining company. They were accused of
being a scam, now almost a year later they are listing on the London
Exchange. No wonder they do not want to list in our own country
if you see what our media had to say about them. At the same time
Moneyweb also published similar unfounded lies about Wealth 4 U.
The
other example is uncle Adriaan Niewoudt. Some of us know him very
well. About three years ago he gave away free shares in his company.
The Rapport wrote headlines stating that he is busy with another
scam. They had several negative articles published against him.
None of the claims they made were true and nothing happened. Today
Mr Nieuwoudt is still running his business and a big mining company
is about to buy out his company .
Recently
Rapport published some fresh lies about a company called U-care.
When I contacted them about it their editor replied with "
Elke slag as ons 'n verdagte skema oopvlek, is daar mense wat ons
woedend vir ons is en allerhande emosionele stellings maak soos
u, en ons was nog elke keer reg"
What
a joke "we were right each time" Perhaps
it is that attitude that gives them the guts to publish one unfounded
fact after the other.
A
story always have two sides. The worst thing you can do is to believe
the South African media. Before you believe anything they write,
first call the company involved and find out the true facts.
